What is an otoscope?
An otoscope is a diagnostic medical instrument used to examine the inside of the ear and eardrum. Every otoscope is basically a magnifying glass and a light connected to a handle. The small tube at the end goes in the ear canal and gives a magnified view of the inner ear and eardrum. Mostly used by doctors but it can be beneficial to keep a home otoscope that is easy to use and can help you decide whether a trip to the doctor is necessary or not. Many otoscopes are specifically built for home use. A home otoscope is instrument for parents,who have a child with chronic ear infections.
